Editorial Policy

How The Dolphin Wellington steak journal selects topics, distinguishes fact from interpretation and maintains useful restaurant content.

Last reviewed: 10 August 2026

Reader-first purpose

Editorial pages are created to answer genuine dining questions about steak, fire cooking, ageing, pairing, booking and dietary considerations. Topics are selected for usefulness, not merely because a keyword has search volume.

Restaurant facts

Business-specific claims should come from current first-party information or another reliable source. We do not fabricate staff biographies, awards, testimonials, supplier names, certifications or operating statistics.

General culinary guidance

Technique and menu explanations are written conservatively and acknowledge variation between cuts, kitchens and preferences. We avoid presenting personal taste as a universal rule.

Sources

Where health, allergen, legal or regulatory matters are discussed, authoritative UK sources such as the Food Standards Agency or GOV.UK should be preferred. Editorial sources should be reviewed periodically for material updates.

Advertising separation

Advertising, if introduced, must not control editorial conclusions. Sponsored or affiliate material should be labelled and should not be disguised as independent restaurant guidance.

AI and automation

Automation may assist production workflows, but publication requires human review for accuracy, duplication, tone, misleading claims, links and policy compliance. High-volume filler or doorway content is not consistent with this policy.
